According to legend, the Imperial Torte Vienna has been created from the Imperial Hotel’s young kitchen servant Xaver Loibner in occasion of the grand opening of the Hotel Imperial in 1873. Once, created to emperor Franz Josef I, this unique Austrian chocolate almond cake represents the tradition and culture of Vienna and delights people all over the world.
